You’re Divider-In-Chief, Presidency blasts Obasanjo
The Presidency has carpeted former President Olusegun Obasanjo for describing Nigeria as “almost a failed state” under the current administration.
It dismissed the former President as a divisive element, saying his recent criticisms have shown his descend “from the lofty heights of Commander-in-Chief to the lowly level of Divider-in-Chief (to adapt the coinage of Time).”
Obasanjo last week blasted President Muhammadu Buhari, saying Nigeria was becoming world capital of poverty and a failed state under his watch.
But the Presidency, in a statement by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, said Obasanjo’s was being insincere with his calls.
He charged him to get involved in the ongoing process of finding real solutions to the country’s development issues.
