Following his powerful tweet last night about the violence in Oyo State last night, Nigerian comic actor, Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni has finally released a statement following his arrest and arraignment because of yesterday’s protest at the Lekki Tollgate.
He and 39 others were arrested in the early hours of Saturday when they set out to protest the reopening of the Lekki Tollgate as no one was held accountable for last year’s October ENDSARS and Lekki Massacre by the Nigerian Government.
In his new video, he shared the ordeals and tortured and those who were arrested faced; he said they were tortured, stripped and humiliated at the Police station in Lagos and he gave thanks to everyone who stood by them, fought for them all and saw to their release.
His tweet last night read:
The Hausa man is my brother, so is the Igbo man and The Yoruba man. We are all one. The Government and the Government alone is responsible for any insecurity in Nigeria and it is their duty to protect all Nigerians. I plead for peace.
