Pedrerol: If Zidane kicks Jovic out, he has to resign
Josep Pedrerol, the host of the popular TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones, has stated that Zinedine Zidane should resign if Luka Jovic ends up departing Real Madrid this summer.
The Frenchman specifically asked for the Serbian striker to be signed last summer, a deal that set Los Blancos back 60 million euros, but Jovic has had little game time and now could end up leaving on loan.
“If Zidane kicks Jovic out, he has to resign,” Pedererol said on El Chiringuito de Jugones.
“The only player Zidane has chosen is Jovic… and Madrid, who were very keen to pay 60 million [euros] for Jovic.
“And now, after a year without playing, he says it’s not worth it.
“Zidane can’t sign anyone. Really.
“There are coaches who are there to put the pieces together and can’t sign [players].
“Especially when you know they are not watching football all the time; Madrid [games] and some others.
“You have to listen to people who watch a lot of football.
“Zidane puts the pieces together, he knows what he wants, he knows how he wants to play, he knows the style… Well, nobody knows the style.
“But Zidane wins [matches]. So, there is no argument with him.
“Zidane asked for Jovic for 60 million [euros].
“Madrid’s hand is trembling paying this money… and now he says [for Jovic] to leave?”
