Mido urges Koeman to take action against Messi’s words on Suárez
The Egyptian and ex-Ajax and Tottenham player says that action should be taken by Koeman against Messi following his statement over Suárez’s departure.
Former Egypt player and current TV presenter Ahmed Hossam Mido said that he is waiting for a reaction from Barcelona’s mew manager Ronald Koeman to Messi’s words over the exit of his teammate and close friend Luis Suarez from Camp Nou.
While saying goodbye to his good friend, Messi harshly criticised the way the club’s board let go of their goal-scoring machine without considering his success at the club, adding that nothing surprises him anymore.
Mido: Koeman “Slaughtered” me
Mido who has been coached by Koeman during his days at Ajax posted a tweet on Friday that said “I am waiting for a response from Koeman to Messi’s statement about Suárez. Koeman slaughtered me and asked for my departure when I spoke up and offered my opinion to the media about things related to the team, although I was just 18 years old back then”.
The former international player added, “I definitely don’t compare myself to Messi, but today’s situation will prove something that I have been waiting for to be proven”.
Koeman was Mido’s coach during the period between 2001-2003 when the manager decided to send him to La Liga side Celta Vigo on loan as the manager and the player were not getting along well, before eventually selling him in 2003 to Olympique de Marseille.
