Solskjaer insists he does not want to 'spend energy' speaking about Pogba's representative Raiola

Pogba hit the headlines earlier this week when his agent, Mino Raiola, stated that his client’s time at the club was over, yet the timing of this is what annoyed many people – it came on the eve of United’s crucial Champions League match away to RB Leipzig, a game they went on to lose.

Since returning to Old Trafford from Juventus for a club-record fee of 105 million euros in 2016, the 27-year-old has come under a lot of criticism for United’s perceived underachievement in that time, while he also tried but failed to push through a move to Real Madrid last summer.

Now, the Sun report that Manchester United are ready to part ways with Pogba for a fee of 55 million euros.

Raiola spoke to Tuttosport earlier in the week and hinted that Pogba could head back to Serie A.

“Manchester United have known what Pogba wants for a long time,” Raiola said.

“Perhaps Juventus could be Pogba’s next club… why not? The relationship between Paul, Juventus and his former teammates is excellent.

“But with the impact of COVID, many clubs cannot sign him. What is certain is that it is time to leave Manchester United.”
