Manchester United Have Agreed A “Five-Year” Deal With Jadon Sancho
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a “five-year deal in principle” with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sanchoahead of a summer transfer.
Sancho is one of Europe’s hottest commodities and it’s no secret that United are huge admirers of the wingers.
Duncan Castles’ Transfer Podcast has claimed the 20-year-old has agreed terms with the Red Devils for a huge contract.
It’s believed Sancho has the same agent as Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka, with the teenager recently signing a new deal with the Gunners.
Now that deal has been finalised, it’s thought that Sancho’s transfer will be the next order of business.
His initial contract with United will be worth £140,000-per-week but could rise to £200,000-per-week further into the deal.
Sancho’s signature would likely see him start alongside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to create one of the world’s most exciting attacks.
It was claimed last month that the England international’s head was ‘already at Old Trafford’ during the Bundesliga season.
Sancho found himself on the bench against RB Leipzig as Lucien Favre tinkered with his team.
German journalist Heiko Wasser hinted that Sancho was on the sidelines thanks to interest from United.
The tweet above reads: “That Sancho sitting on the bench at first is completely ok, he is already with his head at Man United.”
Despite this, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze has insisted Sancho has shown no desires to leave Signal Iduna Park this summer.
“If Jadon comes up to us and says he absolutely wants to leave – which has not been the case so far – and a club wants to pay what we want, then we will discuss it,” he told Sport per Metro.
“I don’t think a club will pay the sum. There is also no coronavirus discount on him. We have left the period where we had to sell players. I don’t think there will be a summer transfer.
“We have a more unusual situation next year than usual. With the exception of Achraf Hakimi [who has left the club following his loan expiring] the team will stay together. That helps with development.”
