Real Madrid are reportedly set to revive their interest in N’Golo Kante this summer and could make an offer of £71million for the Chelsea midfielder.
The La Liga side are eager to bolster their midfield options and have a longstanding interest in Kante dating back to when he was at Leicester.
As reported by AS, Real’s hopes of signing Kante could be boosted as Chelsea may have to sell players to fund their summer spending spree.
Chelsea have already secured a deal for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, who will join this summer for €40million (£36million).
Frank Lampard’s side are also targeting Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz, with the Germany international likely to cost around £75million.
If Chelsea were to secure deals for Werner and Havertz then it seems likely that some high-profile players would have to depart Stamford Bridge.
Kante has enjoyed much success during his time at Chelsea, winning the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League. He has just over three years remaining on his contract with the club.
