After playing no part in Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions league quarter-final triumph against Liverpool, winger Eden Hazard has recovered from his injury in time to face Chelsea this evening.
The Spanish giants welcome the Blues to their training complex this evening looking to get the better of them in the first leg of their semi-final showdown.
Ahead of the contest, Madrid have confirmed that Hazard, who swapped Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu in the summer of 2019, has been named in their 22-man squad, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will start after playing so little first-team football because of injury issues.
However, the talented Belgian returned against Real Betis on Saturday, stepping off the bench for the final 13 minutes of the contest that finished goalless.
Ahead of kick-off Hazard made it clear that he was set to make a return, posting a picture of himself on his Instagram story with the caption “back,” making it abundantly clear that he was ready to return and make his mark.
Now having the opportunity to go up against his former club, Hazard will no doubt be more determined than ever to leave his calling card
