Another defeat in the premier League for arsenal and Mikel Arteta after losing 2-0 to table toppers Tottenham who seem to be having the best end of this 2020 and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s agent has appeared to blame Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s attacking tactics for the striker’s lack of goals this season.
Kwaku Mensah took to Instagram to show Arsenal’s attacking stats this season, which show that Arsenal have created the least amount of chances, while the only teams to have scored less than the Gunners are in the relegation zone.
Things have not gone Aubameyang’s way since he signed a new contract in September, worth £350,000 a week.
The Gabon international scored 22 goals in the league last season – a record only bettered by Jamie Vardy. But in his 11 appearances so far, the 31-year-old has only scored twice, while his strike partner Alexandre Lacazette has only scored three.
But rather than question Aubameyag’s goalscoring form, Mensah appears to have a dig at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, by showing the stats with the caption ‘if you create chances…’.
Arsenal suffered their sixth defeat of the season with the 2-0 loss to north London rivals Tottenham, with the Gunners only managing two shots on target. They’ve only managed 32 all season – the third worst in the league.
It was another frustrating outing for Aubameyang too, as his 21 touches were the fewest out of all 22 players who started the game. On top of that, he didn’t produce a shot on target, create a chance or complete a take-on.
